The WiNRADiO WR-DRD-172 APCO P25 Phase 2 Decoder is a smart and handy decoder dongle that provides a hardware codec for single channel reception of APCO P25 digital transmissions. Just plug it into your PC USB interface (which is also used to power the decoder unit), install the software and enjoy the world of digital transmission decoding.
The WiNRADiO P25 decoder makes it possible to demodulate, decode, analyze and monitor phase 1 and phase 2 types of APCO P25 digital signals (excluding encrypted types) using the WiNRADiO WR-G39DDC, WR-G69DDC and WR-G315 series of receivers. With the G315 version, the plugin is embedded within the main application window. The decoder supports the voice traffic on both inbound and outbound channels, displays digital transmission parameters and supports a secondary transmission channel if 2 TDMA channels on a single frequency are being transmitted.

Options
For WR-DRD-172 following options are available:
- WR-DRD-172-CSO Client/Server Option: the Digital Radio Decoder (DRD) Client/Server Option (CSO) 'software plugin' enables connection to a remote DRD over a network link, to remotely control the DRD plugin, record DDC streams and observe digitally demodulated signals in real-time. When used with the 'networking option for the G39DDC receiver', it also becomes possible to listen to a decoded audio signal and play DDC recordings. The DRD's built-in functions such as automatic recorder, logging and packet filtering are also supported by the DRD CSO option (item no. 9180-2-CSO).
