The task of multichannel radio frequency surveillance and monitoring would typically involve a number of separate radio receivers, audio recorders and other discrete components interconnected into bulky and expensive systems. The WiNRADiO MS-8128 Spectrum Monitoring System provides an elegant, fully integrated solution, specifically designed for computer-controlled automatic monitoring of frequencies.
The choice of internal receivers provides rapid continuous sweeping through HF to SHF, or dedicated HF with a whole band view of real time spectrum / waterfall, or narrow band wide coverage for 'voice rack' type operation. The system is designed to monitor radio frequencies on multiple channels simultaneously, record digitized signals on to the hard disk for easy later retrieval, and perform automatic decisions based on the received signals.
The system is based on a ruggedized heavy-duty 19" Rack-mounted industrial computer. The front panel features a high-contrast wide-angle display. There is provision for connection of an external keyboard and mouse. The system includes up to eight independent receiver cards, and is capable of simultaneous monitoring of eight channels throughout the entire frequency range. The built-in hard disk allows a typical storage of several weeks of continuous audio recording, and a re-writable CD-ROM or DVD drive makes archiving of recordings easy.
The system is capable of unattended operation and, if the Client/Server Option is fitted, it can be operated remotely. The recorded audio can also be remotely searched and streamed to the operator. Automated recording tasks can be initiated by signal level variations as well as time and calendar based schedules. The system's response can be selected from a range of built-in pre-defined options, including alerting the operator, start or stop recording, change receiver settings and others.

Many configurations are possible, offering a choice of frequency range and features
- MS-8128/G315: Where the focus is on the scanning of known frequencies from 9 kHz to 1.8 GHz, the G315i based system is ideal. This configuration provides excellent dynamic range and high sensitivity. A 20 kHz wide spectrum display assists with signal identification and precise tuning. Many useful features complement the receivers, such as scanning, hand-off and automatic voice recording. When coupled to the WA-0851/SFH2 Antenna Distribution Unit (ADU), the top frequency extends to 8.6 GHz due to the inclusion of frequency downconverters in the ADU which integrates seamlessly with the G315 software.

The WiNRADiO WA-0872 8-channel APCO P25 Phase 2 Decoder is a powerful professional decoding tool which supports the APCO P25 (phase 1 and phase 2) standards. The decoder can be seamlessly integrated within the WiNRADiO multichannel monitoring and surveillance systems (G39DDC / G315), to extend their capabilities. Note: An APCO trunking option is under development (item no. 9106).
