Also this year "SDRs" were in focus of the fair. Our product presentations at the booth were always well attended.
The SSB LAN-SDR was introduced for the first time. This receiver combines first-class specifications with the benefits of LAN-operation in a network.

While the Perseus still attracts a lot of interest, Winradio introduced the G331DDC "Excalibur", a real SDR which convinces also by its many operating options.
The new Gemini from Microtelecom was shown as a prototype; this new Dual-SDR is announced for the last quarter of this year.

The new SSB LAN-SDR, as a LAN-capable digital receiver with outstanding sensitivity and professional large signal performance, was in the focus of interest and and presents itself as a nice completion of a sophisticated amateur radio station:
A noise figure of 9 dB, combined with an IP3 of more than 35 dBm (40 dBm typ.) and a dynamic range of more than 110 dB allow the reception of weakest signals up to the 10 meter band as well as the usage of high gain antennas, whose signals may overload other receivers. |

All three receivers were shown simultaneously in real-time operation by Willi Paßmann, DJ6JZ. As last year, a ALA1530SSB+ Magnetic loop was used. Mounted on top of the booth, but inside the building, the antenna prooved its abilities in difficult environments.
Distribution of the antenna signal was done with 2 ASA-42; this active antenna spltter allows simultaneously operation of 4 antennas at 2 receivers.

Last not least the new coaxial cable Ecoflex 15 Plus caused a lot of attention. Its high fexibility, combined with excellent electrical values, is astonishing.
