ALA1530-SSB+ Magnetic active antenna
The ALA 1530-SSB+ is a compact loop antenna with outstanding receiving characteristics even in problematic HF surroundings. It is suitable in a frequency range between 40 kHz and 30 MHz. Their receiving capabilities are on the level of professional active antennas, but expanded by directivity and the supression of electric noise from the close-up range. With these additional benefits it outperforms many passive antennas, even if they have much larger dimensions.
Among dedicated longwave-, mediumwave-, and shortwave listeners, whose interest is to catch far away stations from other continents, this concept have prooved to be a success. Stations from all over the world can be picked up in Europe, where a high concentration of transmitters has to be coped with. The ALA 1530-SSB+ sets new and improved standards for the listener.
The exclusive SSB+ version of the ALA 1530+ offers better reception over the longwave, mediumwave and shortwave spectrum with an improved strong signal immunity for a perfect supression of the second harmonic. Therefore local electric noise can be attenuated as far as possible while at the same time a higher sensitivity is achieved for the wanted signal. The aluminium-loop with a diameter of one meter was developed for outdoor installation, but may be used within a flat or on a balcony as well.
